The new generation ZTE OLT

TITAN is a full-converged OLT platform with the largest capacity and highest integration in the industry launched by ZTE. On the basis of inheriting the functions of the previous generation C300 platform, Titan continues to improve the basic bandwidth capability of FTTH, and innovates more business scenarios and capability integration, including fixed-mobile access integration and CO (Central Office) function integration. And original embedded MEC function. TITAN is a 10G to 50G PON cross-generation platform that meets the needs of smooth upgrades for the next decade to maximize user value.

Serialized TITAN equipment, strong compatibility

TITAN series currently has three main devices, PON board support type is the same:

Large-capacity optical access platform C600, supports a maximum of 272 user ports when fully configured. Two switching control boards with a switching capacity of 3.6Tbps support separation of the control plane from the forwarding plane, redundancy of the control plane in active/standby mode, and load sharing on the forwarding plane in dual switching planes. The uplink board supports 16 Gigabit or 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports. The supported board types include 16-port 10G-EPON, XG-PON, XGS-PON, Combo PON, and upper board.

- Medium capacity OLT C650:6U is 19 inches high and supports a maximum of 112 user ports when fully configured. It is suitable for counties, cities, suburbs, and towns with relatively small population density.

- Small-capacity OLT C620:2U, 19 inches high, supports a maximum of 32 user ports when fully configured, and provides 8 x 10GE interconnection to meet high-bandwidth access requirements. Suitable for sparsely populated rural areas; Through the combination of outdoor cabinets and small-capacity OLTs, fast and high-quality coverage of long-distance networks can be achieved.

Built-in blade servers help operators transform to the cloud

In order to achieve light cloud, ZTE has launched the industry's first plug-in built-in blade server, which can complete the functions of universal blade servers. Compared with traditional external servers, built-in blade servers can achieve zero space increase in the equipment room and reduce power consumption by more than 50% compared with common blade servers. The built-in blade server provides economical, flexible, and fast solutions for personalized and differentiated service applications, such as MEC, access CDN, and access NFVI deployment. And with the development of infrastructure towards SDN/NFV and MEC, light cloud blades can be rented to third-party vendors for development, which may be a new business model in the future.

Based on the light cloud, ZTE proposed the industry's first built-in MEC, which targets some services requiring ultra-low latency transmission, such as driverless driving, industrial manufacturing and VR/AR gaming. The MEC is placed in the access equipment room, which effectively reduces the delay and meets the requirements of new services. Zte, together with Liaocheng Unicom and Zhongtong Bus, innovates TITAN built-in MEC application deployment to achieve 5G remote driving and vehicl-road collaboration. The solution won the "New Service Innovation" award at the SDN Global Summit and the "Best Innovation" Award at the World Broadband Forum.

Another application based on light cloud is access to CDN, ZTE has cooperated with Zhejiang Mobile, Anhui Mobile, Guangxi Mobile and other pilot CDN sinking test.

Intelligent operation and maintenance management system helps operators improve user experience

In terms of quality experience, TITAN consolidated the entire operation and maintenance system around user experience and realized the evolution to the experience management network architecture. The traditional O&M mode is mainly based on tools and manpower, and focuses on the KPI of NE devices. It is characterized by decentralized O&M, single tools, and reliance on manual experience. The new generation of intelligent operation and maintenance systems uses a combination of artificial intelligence and systems, characterized by centralized operation and maintenance, AI analysis, and end-to-end analysis.

In order to realize the transformation from traditional operation and maintenance mode to intelligent operation and maintenance mode, TITAN is based on AI analysis and Telemetry second-level collection, and implements cloud deployment through self-developed PaaS platform to achieve operation and maintenance management of access network and home network.

TITAN's operation and maintenance system mainly includes four systems, which are traffic collection and analysis system, access network control system, home network management system and user perception management system. Together, these four systems form the operational stone of the access network and home network, and ultimately achieve the goal of management cloud, quality visualization, Wi-Fi management, and perceptual operation.

Based on PON+ technology innovation, help operators to expand the industry market

Over the past decade, PON technology has achieved great success in the fiber-to-the-home scenario because of its two basic technical background colors of "light" and "passive". In the next ten years, to the evolution of light union, the industry will achieve comprehensive photonics. Passive Optical LAN (POL) is a typical application of PON+ extended To B, helping enterprises build a converged, minimalist, secure, and intelligent campus infrastructure network. An all-optical network, full service bearing, full scene coverage, to achieve a fiber multi-energy, a network multi-purpose. TITAN can achieve cross-OLT Type D, hand-in-hand protection, 50ms fast switching, to ensure service security. Compared with the traditional LAN, the Titan-based POL architecture has the advantages of simple network architecture, fast network construction speed, saving network investment, reducing equipment room space by 80%, cabling by 50%, comprehensive power consumption by 60%, and comprehensive cost by 50%. TITAN helps the all-optical network upgrade of the campus, and has been widely used in universities, general education, hospitals, government affairs and other fields.

For industry photonics, PON still has advantages in engineering technology, cost performance, etc., but it also faces the challenge of determining higher capabilities such as low delay, safety and reliability. TITAN has realized the underlying technology innovation and capability enhancement of PON, supported the development of F5G, and actively promoted the commercial practice of optical fiber in the industry. For dedicated line scenario, based on TITAN service isolation, home broadband and dedicated line share FTTx resources, realizing multi-purpose of one network and improving resource utilization efficiency; Has completed the smart community slice application in Yinchuan Unicom. For industrial applications, TITAN has enhanced its ability in reliability and low delay, reducing uplink delay to 1/6 of the standard requirements, and has carried out pilot tests in Suzhou Mobile small base stations, with a variety of protection measures to meet the reliability needs of power, industrial manufacturing and education applications. For campus scenarios, it innovatively integrates access, routing, and computing functions to provide support for network cloud and service sinking applications.

As the best partner of broadband construction for operators, ZTE has launched a series of product solutions in the Gigabit era, including TITAN, the industry's first optical flagship platform with fully distributed high-end router architecture, and Combo PON, the industry's first solution, to achieve the smooth evolution of cost-effective gigabit networks, leading commercial use for one year. 10G PON, Wi-Fi 6, HOL and Mesh provide users with end-to-end true gigabit, achieving seamless whole-house gigabit coverage, and achieving the upgrade from access gigabit to experience gigabit.
