Muxponer na 40G&100G yana goyan bayan multiplexing/demultiplexing na layers na lantarki na 4x10G↔40G ko 4x25G↔100G, kuma yana canza siginar gani mai yawa/demultiplexed zuwa siginar gani mai tsayi na DWDM. Tare da DWDM MUX/DEMUX, ana watsa ayyukan 100G ko 40G ta hanyar tashoshi da yawa a cikin tsarin DWDM. Muxponder na 40G&100G shine mafi ƙarancin farashi don watsa DWDM ta hanyar sadarwa ta 100G ta birni.
